NAC Revelation in Logos 5 Gold?

Hello,

I'm a relatively new user and I have Logos 5 Gold. I noticed that I don't have the volume on Revelation in the New American Commentary but it's listed as part of the NAC set on the Logos web site. Is there something I should be doing to ensure that my Logos 5 is up to date with the web site?

Hi Charles,

The NAC Revelation commentary became available after the Gold package was created. Gold contains 40 volumes of NAC, and it doesn't automaticaly get the newer volumes. You'll have to purchase the Revelation volume if you want it. The cheapest way to get it currently is to buy the 41 volume NAC set. Because you already own 40 volumes, dynamic pricing will reduce the full NAC set price to $19.95, which is cheaper than buying the Revelation volume individually ($26.95)

I see that Psalms, Ephesians, 1 Corinthians aren't published or even written yet in this series. What is the time lag, typically, between the paper publishing date and incorporation into Logos? Although, maybe there is no typical.

I'd say six months to a year, but really, as you said, there is no typical. It depends on the publisher and other factors.

I love dynamic pricing. I hate that dynamic pricing requires me to build a spreadsheet to compare which NAC volumes I already have, and which I'd be getting if I purchased the set. Frustrating.

My dynamic pricing was $16 bucks and change. I guess it varies from customer to customer or there must be a glitch in the way Logos reads yours. If I remember correctly, the $19.95 was the pre-pub price, not dynamic price, at least in my case.

Right! I simply can't understand why Logos does not fix this. It would encourage people to buy books they may not even realize they do not have. What are they thinking?

Just a quick update to this thread.... After reading the sample Josh posted, I purchased the NAC Revelation Commentary and began using it for the Bible Study on Revelation that I'm doing for our congregation. It's been a great addition to my library and my thanks once more to Josh for his post.

I have all volumes now, but I used to not have Revelation. No, I don't have Academic Discount - others received the same discount as me and they didn't have Academic Discount either.

The price I see for the individual volume is $26.95, but it's grayed out telling me I already own it. Now all I'm waiting on is the missing volumes to complete this wonderful series!
