Coming Soon: Urdu Bible Translation for Logos
I just wanted to give any interested parties a heads up. I have permission from the translators to make a Logos PBB version of a new modern Urdu translation. There is a Persian script version and a Devanagari (Hindi) script version (As it is primarily intended for use among Indian Muslims). As far as I know, these will be the first Urdu translations available for use on Logos. I have the New Testament completed. I will make it available once go through it to make any formatting corrections.
Along with the Bibles, I will also be making some scripts available. The original files were .SFM files. A friend made a python script for me which changes all of the .SFM verse tags to Logos verse milestones. After getting it into Word, I have a Macro that automatically changes all of the .SFM "\s" title tags to level 3 headings, the "\c" chapter tags to level 2 headings, and removed all of the \p paragraph tags. I still have to do a little work to make the macro remove some unecessary breaks that remain. Hopefully, this will make it more likely that new translations from the frontlines will make it into Logos PBB's!

Logos has corrected the Devanagari font rendering issues. (Thank you!) I will be able to upload the new Devanagari Urdu Geo Version soon. I am unable to upload them here at this time. I'm not sure whether this is due to some of their system being down right now, or because it won't take Word docs for upload. I'll figure it out soon.

OK. I think I can do this here. Let me know if I'm not supposed to!

Let me know if you all have any problems with these. Is there somewhere else that I should share these?

I would gladly do the work of formatting other Hindi Bibles for Logos. However, it is difficult to find any in anything other than pdf. If someone had some in another document form, then I would do the rest. Of course, some of them would require obtaining permission.

Hi! Have you gotten a chance to work on the Hindi Bible or any updates you have on this. I am interested in having the Hindi OV Dharmashastra as logos PBB and have found a pubic domain HTML source.

Not helpful for you, but I checked to see if they had saved anything in the Files forum (2014). No luck.

There is now a free Urdu bible in Logos, actually two: does this help you: https://www.logos.com/product/252072/khtbi-mqdws (looks "Persian" to me)? Or alternatively that: https://www.logos.com/product/252112/inddiyn-rivaaijdd-vrjn-irv-urduu-2019 (but looks more "Indian" than "Persian" to me)
Have joy in the Lord!

Sorry for the delay. Unfortunately, I’m not in the same position I was. I won’t be able to do the work needed to do a Persian script version.
