Highlighting Hebrew Texts

Perhaps I'm doing something wrong, but it no longer seems possible to highlight individual parts of Hebrew words (e.g., a prefixed lamed).  Every time I try, the entire expression becomes highlighted.  This doesn't seem to be an issue in Greek or English texts (I haven't tried any others).

Anyone else having this issue? Any suggestions?

I can reproduce with LHI & LHB. Can you remember a bible in which it used to work?

I have the problem with BHS SESB 2.0.  I also noticed the problem in LHB, though now that I've tried a few other Hebrew resources, I see that it isn't a problem in all Hebrew resources (e.g., BHS Westminster 4.2).

Remembering that Hebrew goes right-to-left, try arrowing through the word in question until you get to where you want to start highlighting and then hold down Shift and continue arrowing. That should highlight the individual letters. You may need to play with this a bit, especially considering niqqud use. Remember that vowel points are usually after the letter to which they are attached.

Thanks!  I wondered if it might just be user-error.  I've been wanting to highlight specific phonemes to better observe things like wordplays but couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong.
