Israelology: The Missing Link in Systematic Theology
Zondervan Exegetical Commentary on the New Testament: James
Zondervan Exegetical Commentary on the New Testament: Galatians
Genesis: A Commentary
all for $77 (so that's like $19.25/ea. at the end, saving $27) .. still a bit expensive for me
I see other good books, but the discount can't justify them. So I ended up with just commentaries.
It's sad that Dr. Arnold Fruchtenbaum lost so early against J. I. Packer.
I was excited to get a few of the NICOT/NICNT commentaries.
Proverbs 1-15 and Proverbs 15-31 by Waltke as well as The Epistles of John by I. Howard Marshall.
It was $92.00 for the three but I saved around $40.00.
Will probably wait till end for budget reasons, but Marshall's ICC volume on the Pastoral Epistles is interesting, as would be Maechen's classic - "Christianity and Liberalism" and Bruegermann's "Prophetic Imagination."
I picked up Paul, Women, and Wives: Marriage and Women’s Ministry in the Letters of Paul, by Craig S. Keener from which is published by Baker
I got https://www.logos.com/product/5359/christ-centered-preaching-redeeming-the-expository-sermon-2nd-ed
I bought:
I am thankful for the 30% off, and wish they had made it to later rounds.
Looking forward to purchasing Keener's work about Miracles.
Here are my buys from round 1.
I have a question about a resource. I am not seminary or advanced trained student. I have many Targum, Philo and such but have little idea what to make of them. I leave most hidden. Would "Ancient Texts for New Testament Studies: A Guide to the Background Literature" by Craig A. Evans be helpful or am I missing what it provides and its requirements?
