The influences on Paul's temple theology

How would you search your library to understand what influenced Paul's temple theology?

My main focus are 1Cor 3:16-17, 1Cor 6:19, 2Cor 6:16 and Eph 2:19-22. I have searched the commentaries and encyclopedias, and also done some basic searches to find articles and books about this.

I have found some interesting sources, but I thought that some of you power users could give me some helpful tips?

Thanks Graham! I tried a search with reference in a collection I have for systematic theology books. It returned some interesting sources.

Something worth considering (though not really focused on Paul):
Perrin, Nicholas. Jesus the Temple. Grand Rapids, MI; London: Society for Promoting Christian Knowledge;Baker Academic, 2010.
Perrin begins by surveying the counter-temple movements in 2nd temple Judaism, and in his short section on Paul he comments on Eph & 1 Cor, tying them into some of the OT texts.

If you have the Journal of the Evangelical Theological Society vol 50 (2007), there's an article by Robert Suh titled "The Use Of Ezekiel 37 In Ephesians 2". If Suh is right, then Paul probably has not only Eze 37:26-27 but the rest of Ezekiel (chapters40-48) is probably in view as well.

Since you are focusing on 1 Cor and Eph, you might note that body is also an important word in these 2 letters. Is there some congruence between what Paul means by Jesus' body (both as Jesus-indwelt-by-God and as believers-forming-Jesus-body) and the temple?

Jesus' own teaching on the temple, plus the early address of Stephen (Acts 7) would be important influences too.

It would also be worth reading something of how the Qumran community saw themselves as the true temple (in contrast to the mob in Jerusalem who couldn't even get the festival dates right meaning they were working when the real date came around). While not a direct influence on Paul, it gives you some insight into how others were thinking about the temple at that time.

Consider some of the functional aspects of the temple as well, such as worship through sacrifice (as in Rom 12:1), and the temple as the place where God becomes known in the world.

I have Journal of the Evangelical Theological Society, but had not noticed this article. This seems interesting!

I do not have Perrin's book, Jesus the Temple, but I will check it out. Thanks for the advice!

Allen, I have now read the article. It was very interesting.

This shows the challenge that I often face with my Logos library. I had the article in my library, but I didn't know how to find it. I have a lot of resources, including many articles in journals, but I do not know how to find the gold when I need it...

I have used Logos for many years and know the basics on how to use it. But still...

Other tips for how to search the library is welcomed. Or tips for concrete perspectives or resources. Someone?
