Library Size - Surface Pro Question

Hi,

Is there an easy way for me to find the total size of my Logos 5 install with my full library?

I have my Logos 5 on an i7 laptop at the moment, but I will be taking delivery of an original Surface Pro tomorrow, that price cut made the original affordable for me, and I wanted to check how much space my current Logos 5 would take up when I install it on the surface pro. I was thinking there might be a way to work this out on my current laptop install.

Also, I`ve read that you can format a micro sd card to NTFS and set it up so that windows sees it as another hard disc. Has anyone used this approach and installed Logos to the drive that is a memory card. Does it work well, or are there any issues I should know about?

I appreciate any advice anyone can give.

Yes, it works well. Use a Custom install option and specify the drive as the location e.g. E:\

However, an SD card will be noticeably slower than your SSD drive, so it's not preferred for a Surface Pro as opposed to a tablet like mine with an MMC main drive.

When I look at that location I only find a Logos4 folder. I am assuming my library is in there, and is called that because I had Logos 4 before upgrading to Logos 5. I`m finding a size of about 16.2 gb, does that sound about right for the Silver library with a few extra commentary sets, and books added?

As an original Surface Pro owner for the last year, my advice is use the SD card/ external hard drive for other content and install Logos straight to the SSD.

Sorry, can you clarify what you are referring to here?

Are you talking about installing your entire library on the Surface Pro SSD? If so, I don't think there is really enough space if your library is that size

Could I check with those who have used Logos 5 for some time on the surface pro. Is there a way to set a laout that works for using the surface in portrair, with maybe a bible at the top, and a commentary below.

This is the layout that I use in Portrait orientation when not connected to a keyboard/mouse. The capture shows Landscape mode because the keyboard/mouse make capturing a pic easier, but using this layout then turning my Surface Pro "sideways" creates a useful layout from the recliner.

You will find that the Interlinear pane and the Bible text share the lower part of the screen nicely when in PORTRAIT orientation.
