Chronological Bible Reading Plan I Use

Here's the code I use for my Chrono Bible Reading plan. I took a while to create and I figured others could benefit from it. Just copy and past each section into the Reading Plan Reference Range. I've been reading through the new testament and so far it has worked extremely well. I haven't tried the OT yet. If you find any errors, please let me know so I can make the appropriate updates. Hope you find it helpful.

I forgot to mention I updated the Wiki:

Very cool! Did you come up with this chronological order yourself or was this based on one of the chronological bibles?

When I pasted the OT portion into the Reference Range box, the box border turns red, indicating some type of syntax error / typo in the range list. Is anyone else getting that?
The NT portion seems to work fine.

Strange...I simply copied my reference strand (which works fine in L4 for me) and posted it. Yet I too could not copy and paste back into L4. I spent some time, found the error, and fixed it. The wiki is now updated and the correct Chrono OT can be found there.
I found many Chrono Reading Plans online and this particular one was the most detailed. I found it in a free downloadable pdf and formatted it for L4. Took some time but IMHO was well worth the effort. Enjoy!
p.s. In case you were curious, the issue was: 18-12:12 needed to be changed to 2 Ch 11:18-12:12. I still don't know why it was removed when I copy/pasted it to this post.

Thanks Brandon. This works now. However, it seems to distribute the reading portions very unevenly. For example, some days it might assign 1 chapter from one of the gospels. Other days (especially when you have parallel synoptic passages one after another), it would assign a 5-6 passages, each with half to one chapter. Are you seeing this?
I have it with NLT, weekdays only, over 78 or 104 weeks.
Thanks,
Peter

That's how it works for me too...especially with John's Gospel since much of it differs from the synoptics. It will usually give larger portions of John and then follow that up with a passage from each of the synoptics. So far it has worked extremely well for me.

The question I have is how do you modify this plan for a 90-day reading instead of a year? I like doing my readings in 90 days, I find it easier to stay on track (sometimes harder to keep up, but more inclined to finish).

Change the time setting in the Reading Plan window to '90 sessions' instead of 'in one year'

I want to add the McCheyne reading plan. How do I do this...? help

Dear Brandon, thanks for this.
By combining the two plans, though, I will be into October before i get to the "Promised Land" of the New Testament! [:)]

I hear ya. What you can do instead is set up a chrono reading plan of the OT for 6 months. Then, when you finish that plan, set one up for the NT in 6 months. The readings for the OT will be longer than the NT, but you get 6 months of each instead of 9 OT, 3 NT. (Hope that helps you get to the 'promised land' sooner...[:D])

Glad I could help. After you've used the chrono OT for a while, let me know how well it works. I'm going through the NT right now and it is working quite well. I haven't tried the OT yet so I can't vouch for how accurate it is (I simply copied it from print reading plan).
