Transferring Books to iPad from LIBRARY on computer

Am I wrong to assume that if I want books on my iPad, I simply select them in the info panel of my Library [computer] by checking the iPad box ... and soon I will have those books show up on my iPad? The section does read: "Download To ..."

If this is correct, how long should it take to see these resources on my iPad?

I'm assuming that you have the Logos app. If you have already checked them off on your computer the next time you open the app on your iPad and let it sync should mean that the book will download automatically.

The other way to do this is to open up the app, search for the book and choose "download".

Transferring Books to iPad from LIBRARY on computer

For clarification: You don't actually "transfer" books from your computer to your iPad. Rather, this is a means to manage the resources which are downloaded from the Logos "cloud" to your device. You might need to kill the app to initiate the sync to download. If you are having problems, let us know and we can help you troubleshoot. (Start with giving us both app versions and OS's.)
