Hi Logos,
Just happen to spot this today, note the extra space. I was wondering why I was missing a volume in my Collection
Good catch, Eagle Eye!
You know, we can now edit the series name in our own libraries. But this needs to be fixed by Logos for everyone's benefit. The best place to report such metadata errors is: http://wiki.logos.com/Metadata_correction_proposals
[:)]
I added it to the Metadata page, since I had an errand there anyway. However, it's been 5 months since Hayley did anything about that page, so it doesn't feel very meaningful to report things there anymore...
Rosie, I have a faint memory that you once e-mailed Bob to nudge him to take action about the metadata, and that that gave a good result. Any chance you could do it again?
At this point, I think it's not appropriate to go all the way to the top with this request. Bob seems more and more busy these days, and the company has grown to over 300 employees. I've emailed someone else to see about getting someone back assigned to this task.
I've volunteered a couple of times, but they haven't taken me up on the offer for some reason...
You're probably right, Rosie. Thanks. Hope it leads to something.
Logos,
A gentle reminder hoping someone from Logos will see this.
For any one trying to set up a collection or filtering the Library using the series metadata will missed the recently released "The Book of Judges"
Thank you for fixing this ASAP. Thanks.
Is there a way to edit this locally? I can't seem to figure it out if there is. Probably something really simple that I am missing.

Yes. Click on the pencil icon in the info panel for that resource in your library, and then you can edit it.

They're not likely to see it here in the General forum. I've just sent an email to someone to point it out. Hopefully that will get it looked at quickly.
Thanks Rosie.
Alan

Rosie,
If we edit the Series Tag, I believe it stays that way as a Customized tag for good. If Logos update the Series Tag some point down the road (or decided to rename the Series Tag), the Customized tag will still be used instead of the Logos default Series tag.
I am helping a few people migrating over from other Bible Software to Logos, and faced this 3 times in the last few weeks. I thought it is not a good idea for new users to Play around with the series tag, they may end up with side effects that they do not expect.
Therefore, hoping that Logos should do something about it.
I felt partly responsible for convincing the person I am helping to purchase the NICOT / NICNT set on top of the Base Package + many other resources (in excess of US$8000), can you imagine me trying to explain to him this is a small bug, that Logos did not tag properly after I sold him the idea that Logos is more expensive because of the excellent and extensive tagging efforts. I felt embarrassed, not sure about Logos (this is one of the rare time I make such a remark - I mean Logos please take this request seriously)
That is true, and I don't recommend editing the Series metadata for standard series like commentaries, for exactly this reason. In fact, I have not edited this erroneous series data in my own library.
I was just answering Alan's question, but I should have put in that disclaimer. Thanks, LimJK, for pointing it out.
Good point. Now here is the question, if I customize the tag and then later return it to the original, is it still a customized tag. I am not sure how that is tracked.
Alan,
This is precisely the issue I have, there is no tool (?) for you to help you track down, I am sure it will be near impossible for you to track [:(] . Thankfully some time back there was a discussion in this forum [:)] . Add the word (Custom) some where in the series name ... this is what I have done.
I apologize for the inconvenience. This has been fixed.
You should see the update within an hour.
Thanks, Kyle!
Kyle,
thank you, much appreciated
