I can't tell you how utterly depressing it is to see this play out...as obvious as daylight once he pulled away from Blomberg.

Folks, please...do yourselves and everyone else a favor and BUY ALL THE CARSON YOU WILL EVER WANT OR NEED WHEN THIS IS OVER...this year, this time.

Scripture says "a curse without cause cannot alight" (Prov. 26:2), but I'm pretty sure that anyone who votes for Carson next year will be generating all the "just cause" necessary--YHWH may even decide to take care of the Lightning personally.

Fortunately (and I DO MEAN fortunately), there are ever new users of Logos (that's what keeps the resources coming). That means there are always new people to choose Carson so you desire to ace him out next year isn't likely to succeed.

I have said the same thing in the past. Keep those new users coming to Logos! At the same time personally I would like to see Lloyd-Jones win.

Note: I didn't realize this thread was about Carson and Lloyd-Jones so I already started another one with a recognizable title. Sorry about that.

I wonder how much voting is based on, "I plan on buying a lot from this guy so I want him to win for the biggest discount possible" versus, "This is my guy on my team who I really want to win rather than those other guys!!!" Because I think a lot of people who voted for Carson probably have a lot of his stuff already.

I was voting for Owen - and advocating for him on the forum, and then bought the reformed base package which contains every title included on the site. So I stopped voting for Owen.

You made me smile. But...

There will be new customers next year who have none of Carson's excellent books. There will be many customers next year who simply could not afford all of Carson's resources this year, no matter the discount. They may well choose to buy some this year, and hope to buy some next year.

Carson is very popular, and people are going to vote their own interest. I suspect Carson will be pretty popular next time as well. So look out for that curse!

I agree Michael. I bought much of what I wanted over the past two years from him (2012, and 13), I wasn't able to get it all at once. But now, other than whatever new title(s) that he's produced, which may or may not be included in the sale, I have what I want of Carson I think
