Another Line of Base Packages to Think About...

I'd definite love to see Logos offer a line (even if it's short) of base packages on the restoration movement. The College Press Bible Textbook Series could be included, along with College Press NIV commentaries and all of Jack Cottrell works along with any College Press and Standard Publishing and IVP volumes related to the restoration movement.

One thing I'm afraid of is that Logos will stop producing the standard base packages in favor of producing base packages to fit each individual religious group. I hope that's not the case. I hope the standard base packages continue to have the preeminence over the others. There's more variety, etc on those. The new ones seem to be repetitive at times.

Anyway, looking forward to future lines of products by Logos. Oh by the way, the Anglican BP's are very expensive. I checked my dynamic pricing and boy, Bronze runs about 200 or so to upgrade to it and let's not get into Silver or Gold or Platinum...phew!!!! So expensive, more than the Reformed dynamic pricing. Oh well, I'm sure they will still sell and at some point I'll pick one to upgrade to when the right time comes.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that sees the new Anglican packages are very expensive. I looked at platinum and diamond and like you, I'll drool for quite awhile seeing these prices.

The only new interesting thing I see is the "For Everyone" series on the O.T. Now, imagine how much I'd have to pay if I didn't own "For Everyone" series by Wright. I'd probably pay double. I think I like the reformed prices better and has more content that's appealing and some collections it will complete for me (e.g. Exegetical Summaries and Preaching the Word). Anglicans are high-maintenance LOL [A]

Edit: By the way, it seems I own everything the SDA Bronce package offers and I still have to pay 100 bucks to get it [:S] ...makes me wonder why [*-)]

When I saw the new Reformed Base Packages I jumped on the Platinum right away. When I saw the prices of the Anglican editions I said, :Whoa!!" There is no way I can make a purchase without the "new to me" list.

If everybody had your mentality Logos would be out of business only selling whatever little resources available from southern baptists, Pentecostals, Methodists, etc. People who were Methodist wouldn't be interested in baptist stuff and so on. Follow the Scriptural pattern instead and someday you'll grow in grace and knowledge: "Prove all things, holdfast that which is good..." 1 Thessalonians 5:21 [;)]

The prices are intended to be equivalent for the same level package across the denominations, if I read the Anglican thread correctly. Dynamic pricing for me shows a great deal of overlap with my current collection.

That seems highly unlikely - I'd bring it to the attention of sales as a possible bug.

MJ is correct. The price points are the same for all the base packages. It is likely that you are seeing higher prices because there is a lot of content that you don't already own. [:D]
