So, what has happened to the 8th volume of WBC? Is it really no longer offered? I have it and it is written by Butler, the same guy who wrote volume 7. Was it removed?
You mean this number 8 - it was on prepub and was never a part of the original bundle. I don't think Logos has upgraded the original bundle to include it yet. Hopefully they'll do that soon and the price won't be so high. I'm sure looking forward to the Acts volume that's been lingering in prepub for quite some time already.

It is still offered:

It came out after the WBC collection so it was a 1-volume "upgrade" to the set. I bought it in pre-pub and it shipped 5/26/2011. Usually Logos eventually updates the parent series to include any upgrades to it after a year or two, so I'm not sure why WBC hasn't been updated yet to include the Judges volume. That is quite odd. Also the main collection doesn't even have a link to to extra volume, so people might overlook it.
Now that Logos has dynamic pricing, the need to keep an original series missing the upgrade volume(s) for a while is no longer relevant. They used to do it that way so that if someone came along later and bought the upgrade set first, then wanted to buy the main series, it wouldn't have any overlap for them. But that is a moot point with dynamic pricing. Whenever new volumes are released in pre-pub, they should be immediately added to the full collection.

I have it in my library...
I think I may have posted about this error in the past, but the pic below for vol. 11 is correct, but the written info is a repeat of the vol. 10 info.
I guess I'll answer your questions to stick with your original post. If you have it, I'm not quite sure what the actual question is, but here are the answers to your first questions:
1. Nothing happened to the 8th volume of WBC.
2. It's still being offered...and yes, Trent Butler is the author for volume 7 (Joshua) and 8 (Judges).
3. No, it hasn't been removed, since it was never a part of the original bundle. Volume 8 came out later, so Logos might add it to the original bundle sometime soon (I hope).
So if you have volume 8, then what exactly do you want to know? Also, what do the other volumes have to do with volume 8? You mentioned volume 11 was a repeat of volume 10 and that you posted about this error before?
Anyway, hope you're enjoying the set it's a nice one!
Quite a few of these titles have been replaced in the past...I wasn't sure if this one had been pulled in favor of a forthcoming replacement. That was the gist of my question. Also, Logos has been updating tons of these pieces-parts collections, so I assumed they had taken care of that with this series too. I probably have a dozen or two collections in my Wish List that now come up as no longer offered because Logos has combined the original collection with the update(s).

Ah ok, gotcha! So no, volume 8 (the one you have) is the newest one on Judges. It won't get replaced any time soon.
Okay, my final bit of WBC business...(which motivated this thread to start with)...
I just went through my current WBC titles in my Library and I appear to be missing just two things: 18a and Mounce's replacement of Bruce's 45. Unless I'm missing something, and I'm pretty sure I'm not, then I am being asked to pay $50 for two volumes in a 59 volume collection that sells for $700. My math keeps on choking and rechoking on these numbers.

Bundle prices are always cheaper than buying all the individual volumes separately. Just think of it this way instead: what a bargain that the 59-volume collection only sells for $700, when each volume costs $25 on its own. Unfortunately, those great discounts don't apply to only buying two volumes at a time. $25 isn't that bad for a single commentary volume if you compare it to what most of them cost. Check out the NICOT/NICNT ones, for example, and the AYB ones that were recently unbundled:
WBC has not been unbundled yet, but I suspect that when it is, those two volumes will cost more than $25 each. I'd get them both for $50 now while you can. Olive Tree charges $49.99 for each of these volumes.
Me too.
Edit: Both Clines and Mounce sell for $44.95.
Logos has Bruce for $44.95. Edit: Both Clines and Mounce sell for $44.95.
Logos has Bruce for $44.95.
Awesome! And I happen to own them all except for Vol. 8 on Judges and the volume on Acts that's on prepub along with the "revised editions" of the other volumes on prepub - forgot what they are. $50 for two volumes is a great bargain, though.
Bargains, like beauty, are in the eye of the beholder. I'll admit to having the same psychological bug that many have--I noticed it when I was a kid and decided I wanted to get all of the Hardy Boys books after my mom bought me three. I have a collector's mentality...but, fortunately, I have learned to tame it. I have a few series that are missing volumes, and I am not in a huge hurry to plug those holes. Truth is, as I've said numerous times before, I don't actually read commentaries very often--hardly ever. I think that my choking math is better math than the giggly, excited opportunity math. It may well mean I don't end up with those two titles, now or ever. I suspect, though, if I wait, a circumstance will come along that allows me to get better value. I think that is going to be my approach if the current offer is a good as it gets for now.
Unless I'm mistaken, WBC has been unbundled.
It has been unbundled for a long time. I bought some of the volumes when Libronix was the Logos engine. I only bought the full set about 2 years ago.

The problem is that I'm NOT buying individual volumes separately. I'm buying the WBC series and expecting to get credit for what I already own, which is almost everything. Having NOTHING and buying one or two titles isn't the same as buying one or two titles to round out the series, in my mind. It shouldn't be treated as such.
The two titles you lack are what? 45$ each? giving them to you at 25$ is what? 40% 45%?
That's pretty generous in my view.
I wouldnt mind getting the titles I am missing at that price. Unfortunately, they are all outside the bundle which I have. Also, 1 and 2 Thess by Mounce is not yet on Logos... or is it?
[UPDATE: This is a mislabelling by Logos (see David's post with screenshot). Volume 45 is by Bruce. There is no update yet for it.]

Well, they say it is Mounce in the collection, but they show the pic for Bruce. So, apparently, they might not.
It might be a great deal from a certain perspective. From my perspective, it's too rich, and can be improved upon. Eventually, it will be...all I have to do is wait. Since I probably wouldn't use it in the interim anyway, I can wait as long as it takes. I'm probably not going to encounter many references to it precisely because it is a newer volume.
Also, part of my issue is the fact that other folks have indicated that they are being offered the same $50 up-charge to round out their collection, but they are picking up 4-5 volumes. That just doesn't compute well for me.

OK, I was wrong. I had searched for wbc and hardly anything came up except the complete series. A few scattered single volumes but I figured those had been released as upgrades. But if you search for word biblical commentary you find all the single volumes. This is a goof on the website, IMHO.
