I wanted to see the latest updates just downloaded and got this:

Mine goes back to Feb 13, 2011 (5.2a RC-2 Mac). Don't remember any significance to that date.

Well I haven't updated my home Logos since 11/2013- so mine updated 601 resources yesterday- good thing!
My main computer stays in my RV which I travel in my job with, only home a 4 day weekend each month, this is hard on my wife and church life. There are a lot of christian men having to work this way- be mindful of their families and needs on the road.
It's likely the date you installed Logos on that Mac.

That would be the day I brought it home—Guess I had a Senior-Moment there [:$].
After restarting this afternoon and after setting the Update Channel to Default**, all the updated resources showed "Today", but it should have been "Yesterday"! Whatever prompted the change there is still a bug needing to be fixed.

** I'm not certain that this had anything to do with the change as I didn't check Library beforehand.

v5.3 beta could come along in May, but that's a guess as Logos don't work to a schedule.
If you looked in the beta forum you could count the number of contributors (excluding posts for the 5.2a RC's). I'd say about a dozen.

That one question (how many Beta testers...) was really dumb ........... could've counted them myself ... how easy it is to overlook things!

Dave I was not able to reproduce this on Windows in 5.2a (5.2.1.0067). The "Last Updated" column is showing the correct last updates for me. Are you still seeing this issue on your machine?

[This happened on my Laptop 5.2a]
As reported above, the issue has gone away and in much the same manner/time frame as this issue on Desktop 5.2a. After that issue was corrected, the Desktop machine showed Yesterday (correctly) for the new resources, as did the Laptop 5.2 SR-6, but Laptop 5.2a stable showed "Today" (incorrect).
