A BIG THANK YOU TO LOGOS!!! March Madness was great this year! I got all the new (to me) titles from Carson and an extra one because I owned the others already. Wow, amazing! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

I'm sorry Dr. Lloyd-Jones, I didn't see anything that caught my attention on the list, so I didn't buy any titles from him.

DITTO! I loaded up on Gordon Fee, 4 of his books, that I have been REALLY wanting for some time. And they have come at a great time in my spiritual walk, too.

Don't make us guess! Which of the Fee books did you want and why? I already own two Fee books, but many of us are unfamiliar with the rest of his works.

Lol, didn't mean to keep anyone in suspense! But since you asked:

1. God's Empowering Presence: I come from a generally more rationalistic, practical, cessationist heritage (surely an overgeneralization and unfair to the many who would not identify as such), so my awareness/belief/perception of the Holy Spirit at work NOW was pretty limited {although it has grown over the years, though I remain within/minister in my non-denominational tradition still). Fee comes from the other end of the spectrum. I am interested in how his exegesis and theological conceptualizing might shape my thinking and spiritual life anew. His work is comprehensive and mines the depths of Paul's theology as he labored to found and grow fledgling churches. Of my recent purchases, this one I am most interested in.

2. Pauline Christology: Another comprehensive work. I have a hunger to fill up my mind and spirit for more indepth awareness of Christ/Christology.

3. Revelation--don't know much about his theology here, but I love the book (Revelation) and am interested in his approach which pretty much tries to let the book stand on its own with accompanying exegesis and theology without engaging others' works too much (both a strength and limitation). It was a good price.

4. Discovering Biblical Equality: a hot-button topic, I am interested in the scope of this work, by many contributors, including Gordon Fee (who is also an editor). It seeks to uphold male/female uniqueness and yet show "equality" and lack of hierarchy (gender-based) or ministry limitations.

I already own his other commentaries, "How to Study the Bible . . ." editions, and assorted works in Logos.

Note: I am not going to engage in theological discussions/rebuttals etc. based on the themes approached above. My purpose was to simply answer David's question honestly without worrying about or getting into rancor or division. But if you want rancorous debate, look me up on facebook and I will engage in discussion of this year's World Cup teams, set for Brazil '14! (actually, I won't do that either, not much time to do that, lol!)
