BUG: Back Dating Reading Plan (5.2a Mac OSX 10.9.2)

I am unable to back date a newly created reading plan... This used to be a very useful trick to fix some of the limitations of the reading plan feature. I tried creating a 3 month plan starting yesterday... but no go.

[For example: If you wanted to have readings of 1 chapter a day in a book of 31 chapters, you could back date the readings to account for the title page, TOC, forward, etc.]

EDIT: I am running 5.2a Mac on OSX 10.9.2.

I just created one - over a year - starting yesterday and it worked fine

I am running 5.2a (5.2.1.0067) on Windows 8.1

I was able to successfully back date a reading plan with both of these resources on Mac (10.9.2) in 5.2a. Is it just one specific reading plan that wont let you back date?

I think I have discovered the problem... The calendar selector has days from the previous and future month greyed out. Since I wanted the plan to start on one of the "greyed out" days, it wouldn't let me. I still consider this a bug, but different than I originally thought. Clicking on a grey number should change the month and set the day.
