NIV 1984 Cross References missing

Hi,

Does anyone know how I can have the cross reference bible vereses show in NIV 1984 just like they show up in NIV 2011 and ESV? For example, in the ESV and NIV 2011 - I see Phil 2:6 cross referenced in John 1:1 'Word was God'. Why doesn't NIV 1984 show this or any cross references? Is this a software issue or is LOGOS not including cross references for the NIV 1984?

Good question. My hardcopy NIV clearly has them. (I'm afraid that the dropped support for the NIV84 may mean that it won't change.)

Ugh! That is what I was hoping not to hear. Yes, my NIV 1984 clearly has the cross references. It would have been nice to have this standard feature available for the NIV 1984 in Logos.

Looking through the source we have, the note is not present at all. It could be missing for a myriad of reasons though, but it was not dropped or removed by Logos at some point in the past. Hope this helps!

I had heard in another forum that Logos may be able to bring back the NIV 1984 (this really does not affect me since I am very happy with 2011), if that happens perhaps the references could get added, they must be in electronic format since they are in my Olivetree copy of NIV 1984, and I know when I first got it they were not there.

Jannie, there are no cross-reference notes at all in the Logos NIV84 resource, but they are clearly part of the text in print Bibles. Are you saying that the publisher-provided source didn't include them? I can understand that, but it's funny that they are missing when Logos makes a point of having their resources being as identical as possible to the print copies (barring licensing restrictions).
