vocabulary lists of Bible passages

I was reading Job 7, comparing the English, Hebrew and Greek. It reminded me of Psalm 8. Very simply, I would like to create a list of words for each passage, both Hebrew and Greek to compare them side by side to see which words occur in both and then be able to see if the one passage sheds light on the other.

Have a look at the Word list document

You should be able to create separate lists for each passage / each language and sort / compare them as you wish

Please post back if anything isn't clear

Thank you. It was very helpful. I am having one problem though. I click on 'add' and it says add lemmas from . . ., and there is an option to change what version the lemmas are from, but whatever I choose, I am only getting the Hebrew text, and that isn't even one of the options it gives me.

Have you tried selecting a Septuagint version?

yes, I tried them all, but I only get the Hebrew. I guess I will just have to call tech support, but thank you for taking the time to respond. I really appreciate it.

Which passage and in which Septuagint version did you just get the Hebrew?

After you create two lists (Job 7 in Hebrew and Psalm 8 in Hebrew) you can perform a merge function and get only those words that appear only in both lists.

I don't think you'll get both from a single word list.

I get a Greek word list if I try Job 7 in Logos LXX (I don't have SESB). Do you have Logos LXX, what happens if you try and use that?

Working with the first one above I get Greek & English in the Word List - not the Hebrew which I think is the point you were making above

This seems to be the reverse of what Todd pointed out in http://community.logos.com/forums/t/53270.aspx

Something does seem strange here - but if Word Lists only take the underlying lemma and then add an English gloss then we won't be able to get both Hebrew and Greek in the same word list.
