Where is this notification?
When I bring up Verbum on my iPad, and go to the Groups icon, I see under "My Faithlife" a ton of "Mary xxx joined group yyy...." messages before I get to all the actual messages people have posted. I don't see any Notification setting on the page for "Someone joined a group you are a member of." Where is this setting and/or how can I turn these specific messages off?
Thanks!

Hi Don,
- go into one of the e-mails and click on Email and notification settings.
- Sign in, and un-click the check marks.

Hi Alex, I did go there, but I did not see any notifications for people joining groups (other than joining groups I am an admin for, which I am not) Can you point me to the right setting?

This may be a bug in the description, since when I went there and checked "group-specific settings" it showed me all groups I'm member of, not only those I administrate. Try it!

I am sorry to be so dense, I just don't see where you are referring to. I found the Group settings, but nothing jumps out at me to control how to eliminate all those "Joe Smith joined group xxx" posts in my faithlife page on my iPad...

Hi Don,
In the Account Settings, under the notifications tab, I unclicked all these checked marks and after that I did not receive any more e-mails or notifications. If you want to receive few notifications or e-mails, then re-check the ones that you like. I'm not sure if that help you. Maybe other forum members could help.

Thanks Alex, that's exactly what mine looks like, yet I still have the picture in my post 2 messages back. They overwhelm any actual posts people make that I could see in my faithlife, messages are way down below and all of these just stay on the screen. Maybe someone else has an idea! Thanks for your help though!

Don,
I think this is just the way the "my Faithlife" view works. It is not customizable other than with the groups you are member of, and it shows new members and new News posts.
Now this is the view you get when a number of people join the groups you are member of, but few people post News (they may be active in discussions, post and comment Community Notes, share Logos documents such as collections etc). I think lots of people recognized Faithlife and its potential for the first time with the blog post about the theological tags. In parallel, the new base packages brought a bunch of new users to Logos - the denominational ones having faithlife groups associated - and it's lent.
Thus I believe the rise in group memberships is at a spike, whereas many of these joining are not (yet) interested in posting News to their/your groups and this shifts the balance in the "my Faithlife" view for you. But you won't lose anything, since in case News are posted to your groups, they will be on top of the other messages and push them down. And the membership spike will dwindle.

Makes sense, thanks Nick. I have enjoyed using the groups for the documents, I was trying to get out of my bubble so to speak <g> and be engaged in the conversations more. I guess that will come over time. Thanks for the thoughtful response!
