Quickly viewing definitions?

is there a way to quickly view a definition? When I select a word it loads nothing and then gives me the option to look it up. I was under the impression that it would initially load a definition but also give you the option to go deeper.

    Hi Barton

    When you select a word and press "Info" you should get some initial information and then - as you say - be able to go deeper.

    But it depends on the resource and associated tagging.

    Which resource are you using and what reference?
