SUGGESTION: James D. Tabor Collection

Tabor is a lightning rod, to be sure. Like Bart Ehrman and other authors I think Logos should carry, I am not endorsing him or his views, nor will I dismiss him out of hand. But he has influence, and like Ehrman he makes a few good points. As always, in order to be ready to give an answer, you have to take the time to prepare. With that in view, I would like to see a Tabor collection, including:

(1) How many scholars do you know came from Charlotte NC? Right. I didn't think so.

(2) He attended Abiline Christian and Pepperdine. I didn't think that could be possible (though I had heard the dirt in the eastern Permian Basin had to be cleansed in the late 70s and not referring to Billy Sol, who I think was also Church of Christ). I grew up in the COC.

(3) He fathoms the disciples 'seeing Jesus', while knowing full well his body is buried just south of the Temple mount. And the disciples didn't let Paul in on the secret?

Let's stick with Dracula. (I've no problem with Tabor in Logos; but he is certainly interesting.)

Just so everyone is clear, Chapel Hill is a solid 2 hours out of Charlotte. Now for comparison, this would be similar to mixing up Nazareth and Tyre (or maybe Sidon). I don't think Nathanael would confuse these distances.

But two siblings from the same family going to Harding? I suspect it's statistically conceivable!
