Book pop-ups

This is a first for me since I have owned Logos 4: Let's say that I go to my book list to choose a book. I then choose any book after the first book listed on the book list. Maybe I choose the 7th book down. Then book opens in the window, but along side it the first book on the list opens along side it.

I tried hiding the book to see if this was genre to that particular book. Now the book that was second on the list becomes the first book on the list. Now when I pick a book 10th on the list, the new book that is now first, opens along side of the 10th book that I selected? So, this is only genre to the first book only, no matter what book is first on the list.

I have never had this happen before since using Logos 4. But, I found out that lately, Logos has been making updates to Logos 4 to make it more in-line with Logos 5? I'm not sure as to what the person was meaning, but could these changes cause this behavior?

Is there any way to correct this? Do I need to re-install Logos 4?

Sorry but I don't understand what you are describing.

When you say "book list" what are you referring to?

And Logos 5 is the upgrade to Logos 4. Which version of Logos software are you using and, if version 4, any reason you haven't upgraded to version 5?

Odd. I think I can imagine the behavior you're seeing, Daniel, but I've never seen anything like it. You try to click on a book in your Library, and not only it but another one which you didn't click on opens with it? Have no idea what could be causing it. I don't think any chances they've made to Logos 4 would cause this. Logos 5 doesn't do this normally.

The book list I was referring to is the library. Any book I would choose other than the first book to open, the first book would also open too? So, I would have two books open instead of just the one I chose.

The reason I haven't upgraded, is that I am totally comfortable with Logos 4. Also, I have a lot of DVDs and a manual to refer to which I have invested in. I definitely would be throwing those down the drain if I went to Logos 5. I can see where some items have already been changed on the "help" menu-which I wasn't aware of.

I have just spoken with tech support and they are going to give me a link to download Logos 4.

However, I do thank you for your response. If after I download Logos 4, and thing don't change, I'll let you know and we can take it from there.

I tried removing the first-out book, but the book that was second-out would become first-out would then open with the book that I chose? So, the problem wasn't genre to the book, but to the position-which was first out.

This is my first malfunction experience with Logos 4 since I've had the program. It will be three years now. However, tech support contacted me and has given me a link to download Logos 4. If this download doesn't work, I come back and contact you.
