Update Error- Error writing to file

When my laptop version started today, it downloaded an update. Once I restarted Logos, I got this error:

Error writing to file (then the long pathname) Verify that you have access to that directory

I drill down to that .dll file just fine. How do I know if I have access to it? What is causing the error?

Follow the instructions anyway--even if it seems like you're not doing anything. It should fix it. There is a permissions problem somewhere in the folder structure, otherwise you wouldn't be getting this error.

Should. But didn't. I checked/changed permissions for the entire folder tree.

I ended up re-installing L5. Since my library is about 10 gigs, it's taking a while.

This isn't a Logos problem, it's a local computer problem. I simply hope I can keep it from happening again.

I experience similar problems when setting permissions e.g. giving user-name2 access to the files of user-name1 in several sub-folders by setting permissions in the main folder, so it's a local Microsoft problem!
