One thing that I don't like about all the iBooks (including all the Bible apps) I've used is that they don't provide any visual consistency when you return to a specific page.

As someone who is highly visual, it helps orient me to have fixed pages.  I'd like to suggest a change to make the content of each page consistent.  For example, if I search for "Ephesians 3:5" it should take me to a page and that verse should always be at the same position on that page no matter if I had searched for it, or if I was reading Ephesians from start-to-finish.

To accomplish this would be fairly simple, I think.  Just render each book with the start of the book at the top of a page.  Then, assuming I don't change my font settings, every page thereafter would always be the same.

This would be immensely helpful to me, especially for memorization as the visual cues on a page aid my memory a lot.  For that reason, I usually use a physical Bible for memory.

I understand your desire, but what you are asking isn't possible. The nature of ebooks is that the text flows and is adjustable. If your desire is strong enough, it would be fairly simple to create PDF's of your books... But the results would not be very good... Unless you spend great effort... Which is why Logos / Amazon / Apple aren't going to do it either. Remember: the books you read are viewable on thousands of different device / platform combinations. What would look good on YOUR device would look awful on mine.

Whilst I am not happy with the current results of searching for Ephesians 3:5 I think that what you are suggesting would have me climbing the walls with frustration every time the verse appeared at the bottom of a page (or at the top for that matter).

My ideal solution would be for the searched for verse to appear about 1/3 of the way down the first panel that displays the book. (i.e. with just enough information above to ensure context and plenty below to facilitate onward reading.)

By the way – what do you want to remember stuff for? Isn't that Siri's job?

I understand that it positions would be different on different devices and if you changed the font settings and such.  But on my device, if the fonts were not changed, it seems like the position of a verse on a page could be consistent if you started rendering the chapter with 1:1 always at the top of a page and worked your way down to the current page.
