Click the "Now Layout" ?

Hello,

After playing with the Layout section on L4 I noticed that I did not have the ability to rename the current "Now" layout. If this were to be made available, after renaming the "current" layout, the program could take a picture after the next change (of anything in the layout form) as the new "Now (empty)" layout.

Hi Douglas, I'm not sure I'm understanding you correctly, because you can rename the current "Now" layout. Just click on the little pen icon next to the timestamp of the "Now" layout and it will let you give it a name.

Then it gets saved in your list of saved layouts on the left side of the Layouts menu. Next time you click the Layouts dropdown, any changes you've made in your layout show up in the new "Now" layout with a new timestamp. You can rename that one too, if you want to save it. Etc. Please let me know what I'm misunderstanding about your question.

This functionality has yet to be implemented in the Mac Alpha. Notice the missing editing pencil in the Now Snapshot.

Ohhhh, ok!

I didn't notice the little pencil with the blue background. I was disappointed because it wouldn't let me "right click" like the others.

I was getting the layout just the way I wanted it, and then closing L4 and reloading it so I could "right click". I'm patient

When you get the layout just as you want it, you should be able to make one more change and the save the previous layout.

Mine is still indexing from the latest update and yields the spinning pizza when I attempt to change a layout. So I could not test this assumption.

The Mac OS has a spinning colored wheel when operations take some time to complete. Donavon calls it a pinwheel, some call it a beach ball, I don't know what Apple calls it, but I call it a spinning pizza.

How about "The MAC Dreidel"?

How about "The Rotor"? Ever try that amusement park ride called "The Rotor"? It would spin you around in a round open-topped canister and centrifugal force would keep you all plastered to the walls, so you could crawl up and down the walls and turn yourself upside down, etc., while the thing was spinning. It was wild; great fun. But it was the only amusement park ride on which I ever saw someone throw up. Fortunately their vomitus stayed stuck to the wall near them and didn't spray all over the rest of us.
