Cost of Books on Logos v. Kindle

Can someone please help me understand why the book I would like to buy "Cross & Salvation by Bruce Demarest" costs $26.95 on Logos, but only $15.39 on Kindle? Can I buy the electronic file in Kindle and import it to work with Logos, say they same way I can buy a book from a seller with the best price but read it wherever I want - ie - home, office, library, beach, etc? Thank you for your help.

The Kindle version lacks the tagging that permits the searching and linking that are available in Logos. A Kindle book should be compared to a Vyrso book. One cannot directly go from Kindle to Logos format but with the right tools you can create a PB similar to a Vyrso book.

MJ's comments are exactly correct. There is some advantage to the linking of a Logos book with your library. So it is a personal decision.

The question is this: Is the additional linking of a particular book worth the difference to you? As my finances often conflict with my desires, the answer for me is sometimes "No".

Another factor that is beginning to cloud the decision (for me anyway) is 'renting'.

I'm finding quite a number of my rabbit trails are taking me into the high 2-digit zone per Kindle book, and 30 day rent is perfectly fine.

Why would you want to import to Logos? [:O] The Kindle is already portable (home, office, library, beach, etc) If all you want to do is read the book, get it on Kindle. I imagine you know why you want it in Logos (searching with tagging perhaps?) so it is only fair to consider that added value when making comparisons.

Also, you can't have numerous windows/resources open at the same time. The tagging feature is a real bonus in Logos. But I agree, there are some Kindle books that I have even though Logos carries them, mainly because of the price and also, if I'm reading a Kindle book and don't need to have other resources open, such as with Logos, then I go for the cheaper book.
