Logos 4 Start Up Problem

I downloaded the free core engine which took six hours (used up a month's download in the process) only to find that whenever I try to start it, it stalls and I get the message "Logos Bible Software 4 has stopped working" Has anyone else encountered this?

This is a result of chance; a bug causing Logos to crash when loading the homepage on December 31 if you don't have an active reading plan. Download and run the most up-to-date installer to fix the problem (you won't need to download all the resources again)... Or hold down control when loading and select load a blank layout (and don't open the homepage)... Or wait until tomorrow [:)]

Many of us cannot explain why these things should happen like this

I hope these problems can be fixed today by their resources group

If not .. it will reflect poorly on their design
