Isn't this only in Chrome? I sometimes have to use IE and it's lacking there - and clickable links are much preferable for phone/tablet users, too.

Possibly so. No doubt it is easier to have a clickable link, but in a pinch the highlight/right-click works nicely.

Absent a clickable link in any work you can always copy the URL and paste it into a tab.
