Anchoring a Collection to a particular Link Set

Hi, does anyone know if there is a way to anchor a whole collection to a particular link set? For example, in my OT studies layout I wanted to link my Aramaic Bible Series with the other texts that I consult when reading the OT. (eg. NIV, LXX, etc...) I have these others all set to their own link set to scroll together - which is not a problem since they are individual volumes and not collections.

Has anyone heard of a way to connect a whole series (like the Aramaic Bible Series) to a Link Set so that when a passage is used and the other volumes jump to that passage the particular volume in the Aramaic Bible Series would open to that passage as well. Might be too much, but it would be so helpful I thought I'd ask. Thanks for any feedback.

That is the way it works, if I understand your question - I pulled up ESV to Isaiah 6.1, Vol. 11 Isaiah Targum, and linked with A. I went to the ESV, and typed in Ezekiel 3.8. Up popped the Vol 13 Ezekiel Targum, the A link was still preseved on that resource.

Is that what you were wondering about?

I think so...however mine do not automatically 'pop up' if they are closed. Do I need to set each individual volume to the link set even though it might be closed??? Will it then open when the text found in that volume is opened?

I have, for example, the NET Bible Notes, Brenton's LXX, and the NIV in a common link set. Is there a way to have each individual volume of the Aramaic bible in the same link set (and to open when referenced) without having them open?

You may have answered this, but I'm trying to understand since mine doesn't behave the way you described. I appreciate the time.

Are you wanting to link a Collection or a Series?

Series is pretty easy. Collections not so much.

If I'm understanding your question correctly, I've done essentially what you've asked for by creating custom Series titles and they will open a new volume when I jump books (to the right place, as long as they are versified).

I started a thread on this topic a while back, and it may give you some ideas on how to do this (mine was for commentaries, but the result for you will be the same for your Aramaic Series)-

They have to be in the same series. You can modify the Series field in your library now, it is one of the columns - this way you can hand craft your own series, and then when it brings a new book up, it will automatically use the same link. I just used the Aramaic Bible Series, which is of course a series, to test this - that was the comment I posted in my first post. I believe they also have to have a Bible Index, i.e. you can't add a resource to the series that is say a Devotional that has some Bible references in it - that won't work.

Try the example I posted, ESV, Aramaic Targum Isaiah and Ezekiel above using Link set A set on Isaiah Targum and ESV, and then type in a verse in Ezekiel and see if the other Targum comes up linked. That will show you how it works.
