When I click on MIDI for any given hymn it begins to play. I do not see any way to pause, or stop, that play, however. After playing through all the verses it will stop on its own. Should there be a popup control that I'm not seeing?

Welcome to the forums. I don't believe that there is any control over the midi - the feature could do with a bit of updating.

When playing a Logos Hymnal, a control appears next to Layouts that can pause or stop along with showing time and can change playback speed:

KS4J you're right - I didn't think to look that far from the pane that was playing.
I was mistaken regarding the version of Logos I have. I am already running 5.2 on a Mac. But I do not see the controls that are in your screenshot. Here is a screen shot of what I get. I see that your says "Logos Hymnal", mine says "Logos Hymnal Media Resource", plus a few other differences. Is there a source for troubleshooting or technical support that I can access? Thanks.

They are different resources
It seems that the one you (and I have) is provided with base packages.

When using the Media resource (on Windows) I do see some controls at the top of the screen as below:
Do you get something similar on Mac?

No, player controls seem to be missing when using a Mac. Sad. Does anyone know of a list of all features missing if you use a Mac? On the other hand, perhaps this MIDI player issue is a fixable bug or problem with my machine. I'll wait for any further words of wisdom. Thanks for your contribution.
