L4 A9 Crashing every time the programme is started

Happy New Year.

As the tile says; L4 A9 now crashes every time I try and start it.

I t was working OK until it did a resource download this morning (this was in addition to the downloads it did yesterday after upgrading to A9)

I have attached the logs, if anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.

A9 was at the stage of being usable for me as a bible study tool, I will be pleased when i can stop using the Windoze version with Parallels.

I have just had a thought; i might start the Windoze version and see if changing the layout to something more basic helps, (this has worked in the past)

You will have to be more specific on what happens at startup. Do you start up with a Home Page? Do you start up with a saved layout? What is on that layout?

I also suspect, but have no way of knowing, that some of the errors are due in part to the date bug related to December 31--sort of a latent Y2K thing. Some problems may be fixed simply by the rollover of the clock tonight at midnight.

I start with a saved layout, this is in the process of being loaded when the application completely closes down. I have been unable to get past this point.

Not sure about the date thing, here in New Zealand we are half way through the 1st January, things might sort themselves out when the US finally catches up[;)]

This could be related to the bug that tech says is causing my crash doing a PG.

If you can get it to stay open long enough, try this.

Open the Home Page

Check the box at the bottom left for "Show home page on startup" and close L4 before it can crash. When you reopen, it should prevent you from auto-loading the saved layout that is crashing things.

The programme wasn't staying open to set it open on the Homepage.

I was able to load the Windoze version and set it to open on the Homepage there, then re-start the mac version, still no joy.

I rebooted the system and now the Mac version opens on the Homepage and all is well.

I also think the problem is to do with doing a PG, which was the open tab on the last Layout I was using.
