The example Benjamin Keach’s The Ax Laid to the Root, published in 1693 given in the blog entry of Fri 2nd May is an interesting one.
It gives a fine example of the problems of reading a poor original - complete with carrying through the mistakes to the proposed Logos offering. Will not do Logos too much good if your advertising contains obvious errors.
appears in the 3rd line of the example
Original: "also: -- 'Tis said, all the Cattle of Egypt dyed, Exodus 9.6."
Logos: "also: -- 'Tis said, all the Castle of Egypt dyed, Exodus 9.6."
so we now have "castles" dying - not that I knew of castles in the medieval sense being present in Egypt in antiquity.
Shalom.
