Finding files in personal books

I had my sermons in Libronix in Sermon Files. In Libronix my sermons were grouped by file names when I opened sermon files. So, for example for Funeral sermons I would use the file name F- plus the name of the sermon such as love. So, the file name F-Love. All the funeral sermons would have F as an identifier of funeral sermons. So, it would be very easy to find all funeral sermons because they would all be grouped together.

But in Logos 5 all sermons from all occasions as mixed together. And if I don't know the name of the sermon, I can't search for it. Is there a way to get back to the file names so all Funeral sermons can be located?

The sermons are not in separate files. The way to get the indices you need to find your funeral sermons, for example, is to tag them "funeral". You can provide multiple tags separated by semicolons.

I was afraid such was the answer. I feel I lost a lot by the switch from Libronix Sermon Files to Logos Personal Books. When one has 100's of sermons--re-tagging everyone one is prohibitive because of time, and now having lost the grouping by file name (Libronix is not available any longer) makes it an impossible task even if I wanted to take the time to re-tag.

There are a number of cases in Logos 4/5 where initial work is required in tagging or prioritizing. Generally, the payoff is worth the one-time effort.

If you don't mind having new & old in separate files you can use the import command to import your Libronix sermon files into L5.
