How do you copy resources to a new installation

This question may have been answered elsewhere, but I can't find it.

I have just installed L4 onto a new laptop running Win7. To avoid having to download all my resources again I copied resources from my desktop to the laptop (c:\...\AppData\Local\Logos4\Data\random numbers\ResourceManager\Resources). On running L4 on the laptop all the resources are available, but the system still insists on downloading them all again. Cancelling the download only works for the current session. Restarting L4 restarts the download.

My question: how do I stop the downloading of resources?

L4 has to know they are there. So type scan [resource path] in your command bar. (L4's expectation is that this is not in the default location, so it may work better to do this from a secondary drive.)
