Searching for Proper Nouns in Logos 5

I am curious if anyone can recommend a way to search for proper nouns in Greek/English texts in Logos 5? I am trying to find the names of places and people mentioned in the Apostolic Fathers. I am utilizing both Brennan and Holmes' translations (English & Greek).

One can do so on the Biblical text but we don't have a lexicon with semantic domains that covers the apostolic fathers. KS4J's suggestion is worth a try but will not be comprehensive.

A search for Louw Nida 93 can find a Lexicon with Apostolic Father links: (albeit not know about comprehensive)

Holmes morph XP pulls indeclinable proper nouns.

Rick has quite a few blanks in the interlinear on LN including all the proper names.

There should be a great deal of overlap but given the title Louw, Johannes P., and Eugene Albert Nida. Greek-English Lexicon of the New Testament: Based on Semantic Domains. I think it is safe to say it is not comprehensive for the Apostolic Fathers.

Very interesting question which underscores the need for such a work (Lexicon of Semantic Domains for the Apostolic Fathers that is), don't know of anyone working on such a resource.

This does bring to issue a wish I have for the Reader's Lexicon of the Apostolic Fathers and reminds me to put in Suggestions.

Learned Apostolic Father resources have many words that were not used in the New Testament so they do not have LN tagging:

Screen shot shows search for <LN 93> found Adam (LN 93.11).

Holmes morph XP pulls indeclinable proper nouns.

Concur plus noticed Apostolic Fathers has declinable proper nouns: e.g. Δαναΐδες and Δίρκαι

This sounds almost interesting, but for those of us (or me) who hasn't a clue as to do what you're suggesting, why don't you (or someone) explain in layman's terms exactly how to do what you are doing?

If you are very, very patient I've found a way that may pick up every proper noun - taking advantage of the fact that in English proper nouns are identified by a capital letter. This also means that the first word of any sentence is also picked up as is the pronoun "I" but it still may be worth it. Remember that a wild card in a Logos search is very very slow - it took 11 minutes on a test of 5 letters.

1. Set the search to match case and put your letters in capitals.

2. Set the search to Literal Translation and search the Apostolic Fathers Greek-English Interlinear.

3. Sort through the results

Right clicked on a proper name in an Apostolic Father resource with Louw Nida tagging, clicked Louw-Nida, then clicked Lexicon:

Louw-Nida Domain 93 has Greek Names of Persons and Places that are used in the New Testament.

A bit off topic since this was aimed at Greek texts, but you can run a search on AFAT for proper nouns.
