It failed when I docked HALOT, UBS Handbook, HCSB, and others, but it did not fail when I docked the BHS SESB.

The same error message appeared in a thread last October, but you may have a different issue. However, see Bradley's comment here 535993.aspx

Did you try the remedy from the link in Jack's post i.e. turn off visual bookmarks?
Thanks, but I normally don't use visual bookmarks or search bookmarks. I also don't use "cited by" tool, which someone suggested I close.
