Bump - as best I know, this is only available only today.
I don't really see why downloading something called an "e-book short" should result in a re-index that runs close to an hour. It should be a lot closer to 10-20 seconds.
Thanks Floyd.
Curious about storage device being used ?
FYI: on an i7-3610QM laptop with Sata III Solid State Disk (SSD) dedicated to Logos, indexing three new Vyrso ebooks took 31 seconds that was followed by merging postings taking nearly 9 minutes.

Toshiba ATA 300 GB HD. I think it is 5400, but I'm not positive. Speed isn't a problem I have in my normal L5 usage.
I don't think it is a disk issue. I think that L5 has a tendency to index more than it needs to...at least on my system. Other single resource installs index quickly, but I can't ever tell whether it will be quick or slow until the process begins.
it is doubtful that downloading this book CAUSED a re indexing. Downloading this book would have caused an indexing, but it shouldn't have taken more than 10 minutes. If you had posted logs, someone could have examined them.
Time to merge index postings is affected by storage speed for writing. Slower speed takes noticeably longer.
