I have found that Logos is more than I need. I spent $500 for it. I would like to give it to a friend who is going to seminary. How do I make this transfer?
Does the friend already have a Logos login since before?
Hi Brinn - and welcome to the forums.
How do I make this transfer?
You need to contact Logos Customer Services - contact details at https://www.logos.com/contact - who can arrange this transfer.
There is a $20 fee per transaction (if you transfer everything in one go it is $20)

Is that strictly necessary in this case? Could Brinn just delete credit card info, change profile Real Name, Display Name, Email and Password and hand the account over to the friend?
I don't think he uses Logos
I agree. That would be easiest.
The $20 transfer fee is something Logos added to cover customer support phone-call labor costs. It's mainly there to allow the transfer of individual resources between existing customers, which requires a customer service rep to edit the license database entries.
I think they would be happy if you could do it without having to call in. (unless they come back and say otherwise)
If it were true that changing contact and credit card info constituted a legitimate transfer, then we wouldn't have the bequest methodology in place.
Well, it is different because you would be dead, and nobody would have your permission to change it without the bequest method.
Can you still get a refund? If your friend is going to seminary, let him use the money to buy it with the academic discount! He will then get even more for his money (your money).
Also talk to CS, they may have pity on you even if you have passed the time limit!

Yeah, I was going to say that if you've properly secured your account, your heir may not be able to assume and use your resources.
Does Logos charge $20 in this particular case?
