I'm considering upgrading my notebook computer from a PC to a Mac, but am wondering if I would suffer any loss of features by switching to Logos for Mac. How does Logos for Mac compare with Logos 5 for PC?
How does Logos for Mac compare with Logos 5 for PC?
http://wiki.logos.com/Mac_and_PC_User_Interface_Differences provides some useful context.
Some have reported that the Mac environment is slower although it seems that there have been some real improvements in this area.
The Mac version is really not that much different now. Still, in a pinch you could switch to Bootcamp or Parallels Desktop. Although a 99.9999% native Windows solution, Bootcamp did not work that fast for me.
From a quick scan of the interface differences, it appears that the latest Mac version of Logos still isn't up to par with Logos 5 for PC. That may make a determine the nature of my notebook upgrade.
As far as I know there are no differences that are current that effect usability on significant basis.
There are some additional benefits of working within the Mac environment which have been rehearsed ad nauseam.
I changed when I got fed up installing (an maintaining) anti-virus stuff and I would not change back.
Amen to everything Mike stated! [Y]

There's no difference. I switched a few years ago and haven't looked backed.
I just switched to a mac at the end of last year, and I have not experienced any noticeable difference between the windows and mac version.
This was why I always decided not to switch to a Mac. I am thankful that I did not - especially since the Microsoft Surface Pro 2 came out.
Of course, it is a personal choice.

Please elaborate about interface concerns. Logos 4.2a screen shots on => http://wiki.logos.com/Mac_and_PC_User_Interface_Differences are over 3 years old. Wiki has => http://wiki.logos.com/Mac_Release_Notes_and_History
Feature Parity list => http://wiki.logos.com/Mac_and_PC_User_Interface_Differences#Feature_Parity has Logos 4 and 5 differences gathered from forum discussions, which is substantially smaller than a few years ago. Thankful for many Mac improvements, including full screen in Logos 5.

I Fix It web site => http://www.ifixit.com/Device/Mac has Mac repair guides. Noticed replacing SSD in 15" Mac Book Pro is easier than 13" model. Memory is surface mounted so cannot be upgraded. A friend is using Logos 5 on a Mac Book Air.
Logos 5 is a resource intensive 32 bit application that benefits from faster processors (CPU and Graphics) plus faster disk drive(s) with adequate memory. Solid State Disk (SSD) is noticeably faster.

I run Logos 5 (Gold) on MacBook Pro (i5, 8Gb) and Windows 8.1 (i5, 8Gb). There is no difference in interface. (Logos 5 is just slow, especially on my Mac, however others don't seem to suffer from this.)
