CRASH: 5.2b Beta 1 Mac

Beta 1 on Mac has some instability due to the upgraded version of Mono shipped with it (http://community.logos.com/forums/p/84676/593946.aspx#593946). Setting “Use Internet to No” should prevent those crashes in beta 1 until we can ship an updated version of Mono.

We’ve opened several bug reports with the Mono team regarding these issues (https://bugzilla.xamarin.com/show_bug.cgi?id=19334) and are awaiting a response. In the meantime, the Mac desktop team is discussing alternative work arounds.

Holding down the Cmd key upon launch and selecting Work Offline seems to prevent the crash. However, this prevents my notes from synching with my iPad which interferes with teaching come Sunday [:'(] Have been able to launch without the Cmd key and have L5 remain active long enough to synch.

In the meantime, the Mac desktop team is discussing alternative work arounds.
