How to do morphological and syntactical searches using logos 5

I am new to doing morph and syntactical searches in Logos 5.

1. Say I want to search for a prepositional phrase in Greek everywhere in the new testament such as

 παρά@pa ἐλπίς@nafsc (Rom 4:18 BGM) with no intervening words or I want to search for παρά@pa and ἐλπίς@nafsc with 2 intervening words.

How do I do this.

2. Say I want to search for all perfects verbs which occur in a purpose clause?

Please keep your answers simple since I am fairly frustrated by my previous attempts to accomplish these types of tasks.

The syntax you would want to use for the search in number one is what is called a proximity search. Proximity operators are BEFORE, AFTER, and WITHIN. Probably best syntax for an instance where there are at least 2 intervening words would be "lemma:παρά@pa WITHIN 3 words lemma:ἐλπίς@nafsc". 

No intervening words would be "lemma:παρά@pa WITHIN 1 word lemma:ἐλπίς@nafsc".

The search for number 2 I am assuming is a Hebrew search? This would need to use Andersen-Forbes syntactical database through a syntax search. For more on doing syntax searches, I would reference http://wiki.logos.com/Setting_up_a_Syntax_Search. Pay special attention to the video links in the top right-hand corner. I hope this helps!

As above, please clarify if Hebrew perfect verbs and what you mean by "purpose clause". A Syntax Search using the Andersen-Forbes Hebrew Bible offers many possibilities but you need to be specific.

Searching library found purpose clause:

Morph search for:

lemma:ἵνα OR lemma:ὅπως OR (lemma:ἵνα BEFORE 1 WORD lemma:μή) OR lemma:μήποτε OR lemma:μήπως

finds purpose clauses.  Right click on a purpose conjunction found Louw-Nida 89.59 so opened lexicon that shows Louw-Nida range of 89.55 through 89.64 are Purpose so a quick Morph Search for perfect verbs closely following a Purpose conjunction is:

<LN 89.55-89.64> BEFORE 1-4 WORDS @VR

Syntax search can be done for Louw Nida (LN) Subdomain for Purpose 89.I

Syntax Search results should include quick Morph Search results.  Personally needed to try several variations with matching skip levels so John 17:2 would be found by Syntax Search.
