I am tired of having to test and check each new resource - the number of metadata errors that affect how the program works is discouraging.
I agree this is still a problem, and it's quite annoying. Unfortunately I don't think posting about it in the General forum is going to get the complaint to the right people. An email might be in order at this point. Probably time to rattle Bob Pritchett's chain about metadata again anyway, since the Metadata correction proposals wiki page has been languishing with no Logos employee edits for 7 months since Hayley Price's last edit. It gets frustrating reporting these errors when they are going into a black hole.
I've been getting faster action by reporting as a bug or in a product forum - several repaired within 48 hours. I meant to post in Logos 5 .... oops. But reporting in the proper channels has been a black hole for me.
Sure, a single error can be reported and fixed quickly that way. But I doubt it's going to change anything about the process by which metadata is proofed before releasing new books. Then again, I doubt even me sending an email to Bob about that is going to change it. It's been a problem since forever, and I don't believe he really cares.
But I doubt it's going to change anything about the process by which metadata is proofed
Probably not ... but I have a plan to influence that. And so far, my average for success is slow but very positive.

I think I've seen other volumes of that series that don't have any series tag at all. Which makes this bug (that Logos calls "by design") even more annoying: the series name is there in the citation, but you can't filter for it, because the citation is pretty much the only part of the metadata that the Library search function doesn't read.
So while you're at it, Logos, please do a Cmd-F for "series" on http://wiki.logos.com/Metadata_correction_proposals and fix all the other missing series names at the same time.
And please fix the bug that sorts series names on A, The etc on that word instead of the following. Titles sort correctly; it can't be any harder to make series sort correctly as well.
Not exactly an "error" but I was quite disappointed that many of the Athanasius volumes (Incarnation and Against the Arians) were not tagged by the author datatype... Who would accept a Bible that only had page numbers?
Ken, report this as a bug in the Orthodox forum - I usually get quick action there on this sort of problem.
I have been assured that the milestones will be added on a timely basis. from a Logos employee "The missing milestones in Athanasius are a major problem that will be corrected as soon as possible."
This has been fixed in 5.2b Beta 2.

Bug: Library sorting by series doesn't ignore leading articles like "The" should be updated as well.
Since I'm not on beta, could you check that the fix works for French, German etc as well, and for both Title, Series, and Hidden Resources. I note that at least the following books that have language set to something other than English are all currently sorted on the article:

Series titles are not tagged with a language (they're just plain text), so they will sort according to the rules of the current UI language.
