I'd gladly give up half of the features of logos if you could speed it up. I have a nearly brand new lap top and still get so tired of waiting on Logos.

Think of how slow it would be if you had to look through paper resources.

    Hi Josh,

I agree that Logos is a slow program.  It is my understanding that the slowness comes from the platform they used to create L4 (and L5) - WPF.  You can see many threads within these forums about WPF.

Basically the computer we need to run L5 is a computer that gamers would use to play their on-line games.

Bob has said looking back that using WPF was a mistake, but it was the right decision when they made it.  He also said that they cannot undo that decision.  I expect we are stuck with a slow program for L5, L6 and maybe L7.

Except for the home page issue that has been discussed recently (and I said that doesn't really bother me), I don't find myself ever thinking L5 has speed issues. My searches are completed very quickly. I bought my laptop in 2008, bumped it from 4 to 6 RAM about a year ago and I keep ridiculous numbers of windows and programs open at all times. I have a dual core 2.5gH system w a decent (for its time) vid card. What kind of speed issues are you talking about?
