I think any self-respecting Bible software company should have at least half-a-dozen versions of Institutes...minimum.

(The funny thing is...I never deliberately bought any of these--they just keep replicating in my library, like a vi...like a very important work should.)

Well, I'm sure if I just wait long enough, my three will metastasize and I'll end up the first one on your list, too. However, I think I also see an antidote in your med chest! Biblical Catholic Answers for John Calvin...I'd like a dose of that. It might stop the spread...but then again, you already have more versions than I do, so perhaps it isn't that effective. [:S]

I have five editions in English, plus the French and Latin editions which I've hidden.

If yours are proliferating, you might have accidentally caught this strain of Calvinococcus while traveling uninoculated in the tropics. You could return it if it's been within 30 days; that is a known effective treatment.

EDIT:

I hear the reason they pulled Dracula from pre-pub is they are planning on replacing it with a collection of Dracula in over 50 languages. Timed for announcement during the Bram Stoker Festival in October, it will be a new pinnacle of achievement for Logos. And there's no vaccine against that one!

The first two are the same translation, but the second is indexed better and is probably a higher quality text.

Maybe the first one is from before JC was kicked-out of ZZ Top for have a beard that was too funky.

I've always wondered why I have two copies of Beveridge's translations.

The first one (leftmost in your shot) came, I think, with my original Logos package I got back in 199X.

The second one (middle) I think came with my Logos 5 base package. The product page showed it as "new to me"; again, I don't know why. It wasn't really big enough of an issue to investigate.
