Princeton Sermons is "Too new"
According to the Indexer LLS:PrinceSermon 2014-05-22 is "too new" for Logos 5.2 SR-6, so I'm missing one resource in Library because of this latest update. I had scanned it from a Logos 5.2a installation along with other updated sermons with version 2014-04-16. So why is Princeton incompatible?

Logos 5.2 is an old version of the software and can't read all the resources that Logos 5.2a supports.
Logos 5.2a is our current supported version (https://www.logos.com/support/free-support), so I'm not sure why you would think that Logos 5.2 should be able to read the latest resources.

I think I missed your point the first time.

There may be a bug in scanning that doesn't reject resources the indexer can't discover.

While I understand that a newer version could support resources that an older version couldn't, the difference between 5.2 and 5.2a would seem to be quite small (just based on the version numbers). Did the release notes for 5.2a state that it supported newer resource capabilities that 5.2 and earlier wouldn't support? http://wiki.logos.com/Logos_5.2a - if that information is in there, it doesn't jump out at me.

The main point is that I'm now missing a resource that was previously available to v5.2, so why was the Princeton resource incompatible when other sermon resource updates are compatible?

I don't have that information but I'd guess it's because it uses a data type only supported by 5.2a SR-4 and later; new data types are the primary reason for resource format changes.
