MacArthur Commentaries gone from LLS?

Greetings everyone: I wanted to add John MacArthur's commentaries on Luke to my LLS collection but was very surprised to find that Moody had pulled the right to publish and/or sell them in the LLS from Logos.

I'm not sure why this was done by Moody, but according to Logos, it was not done because of something that happened between Moody and Logos (IOW, there are no hard feelings either way).

If you would like to see Dr. MacArthur's Commentaries become available in LLS format again, please write or email Moody Press and let them know.

Thanks for the info David. I have Dr. MacArthur's complete commentary set (thus far) in print in our church library and some of them in my Logos Library before Moody cut them off. I will certainly express my desire to Moody to once more allow Logos to include them.

If there is no "personal" reason for not having such a great tool available.. is there ANY reason that's given?

I've initially invested in Logos, ONLY because of pastor MacArhur's commentaries. Now, I can't even find them anymore.

I really would like a straight-forward explanation for this.

This may be against forum rules, so I'll understand if the post is deleted. Because we can no longer purchase Moody titles, I hope it isn't a problem to help others find them elsewhere.

There is a way to get many of Macarthur's commentaries on the cheap via Quickverse/Wordsearch. If you track down a used copy of Quickverse 8 Deluxe on Amazon or eBay, you can get the commentaries on Matthew, Acts, 1 Cor., 2 Cor., Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, 1 Thess., 2 Thess., 1 Tim., 2 Tim., Titus, Philemon, Hebrews, James, 1 Peter, 2 Peter, Jude and Revelation. Quickverse 8 was released for Windows XP, but I've been able to install it on Windows Vista, 7, and 8/8.1.

You can then buy the upgrade to Wordsearch 10 and it will find your Macarthur commentaries and allow you to port them into Wordsearch. Wordsearch 10 is not nearly as elegant as Logos 5, but in a pinch it works for books you can't get in Logos. It has to be Quickverse 8 Deluxe since the lower packages that year didn't have Macarthur and Quickverse stopped including the volumes the following year. Wordesearch also has a mobile app that lets you view the commentaries on your iPhone or Android device.

If you don't want to hassle with that approach, there is always Kindle, which has them at a reasonable price.
