Dear all,
After the last update my logos icon is no longer accessible. There may be a mistake in the installer. Could anyone help me to get it back?
Greetings,
Piet
See here.
Dear Lee,
I do not have access to the directory. What do I have to do?
Try the Microsoft Knowledge Base article (KB) cited in that post.
If for some reason you cannot carry out the remedial steps, then I suggest you wait a month or two for an upcoming release (version 5.2b) that is supposed to solve this problem.
Though the icon is broken, it should not affect the functionality of Logos.
EDIT:
Of course, I may be misunderstanding you. Do you mean that your icon has completely disappeared and that you no longer see any shortcut that you can click on to run Logos? If that is the case, you could try to rebuild the shortcut from scratch. The other way is to download the installer here (Windows version) and manually reinstall. If you have any doubts, call Logos support line 800-875-6467 if you're in the States.
Hi Piet
The path is something like this: C:\Users\username\AppData*\Local\
The folder after Local will be Logos 5 in there is the Logos.exe icon. You can create a new shortcut from there.
* This folder is hidden. Select Organize>Folder and Search options>View>Show hidden files and folders.
Thank you, Tommy, it worked!
