Setting Case Agreement in L4 Morph Searches

I'm just getting started with the Logos 4 morph search and I'm wondering if there's a way to set case agreement. I know you could do this in v. 3 with the graphical search query, but since that's not been ported to v. 4 yet (see here), I'm wondering if there's a way to do this.

Here's my current search string: @n BEFORE 1 words @d BEFORE 1 words @dg BEFORE 1 words @ng

What I want is for that first noun and article to agree in case. It doesn't matter what case they are so long as they agree.

Alternately, if someone can show me how to do this with one or more syntax searches, I would be happy with that too (though admittedly I do tend to trust morph searches more than syntax searches at this point).

My Logos install is hosed and I'm reinstalling, BUT....I THINK that you must do a syntax search...

It would be really easy that I can see...although someone who has a working install at the moment will have to help you to construct the search... [:D]

Does Logos plan to implement the graphical search query in Logos 4 so that case agreement morphological searches can be made in resources that are not syntax tagged?

Or are we now without any means to do this type of search in Logos 4?

I'm asking both because I use this type of morph search regularly, along with searches in the Hebrew that are dagesh sensitive, vowel point sensitive, and accent sensitive - along with the ability to specify Qere and Kethib morphological codes and even specify in my morphological search a code for lexical entry number for homonyms that will let me work directly with homonym entries in the Koehler-Baumgartener. And I can do this using a graphical search query. In addition I have the ability to create my own Bibles and tag them from stem to stern morphologically as I see fit. Oh, and my morph database is at 4.10 in the Hebrew. Where is Logos at? And does Logos support editorial note morph searches?

It appears that while Logos has added syntax search to works tagged for that type of search (the Biblia Hebraica Stuttgartensia is not tagged for that type of search) it has dropped it's graphical search mechanism and in doing so has now disallowed case agreement in it's morph searches.

So Logos 4 is going backward instead of forward in this area of original language studies.

BibleWorks 8 does all of this.

So, with Logos 4 we see that there is no graphical search. No case agreement in morph searches and if you want to deal with agreement you need to use a syntax search and then you can only use it in works that are tagged for syntax searches, which doesn't include the BHS.

The types of searches that I can conduct in BibleWorks 8 are far more productive and faster than those that Logos allows me to do. In BibleWorks I can also do searches that aid my work in the Massorah (accents), which Logos chooses to ignore.

Bob Pritchett has indicated that they are planning on bringing the graphical query back in the near future.

Apparently they dropped it based on collecting usage statistics.

There has been enough feedback on that decision that they have changed their development plans for it.
