Products in wish list sometimes grey out when a price change occurs

I don;t know the specific cause of this, but it has happened 3 or 4 different times over the last few months.

If I have an item in the wish list and it's price changes in some way, sometimes it greys out and shows like I own the product. If I click on the product and go to it's page it shows that I do not own it and has a different price. This is annoying, but not serious. If I delete it from the wish list and then re-add it, then everything is OK and the new price is correct.

This posting is just so you can log the error if you want to.

I discovered that the hard way. After deleting resources I wanted that I assumed Logos no longer sold. I should have researched more. Now I can't remember what they were [:(]

The usual reason this happens is when they consolidate a resource into a larger collection, and then discontinue it. If you hover over the grey button in the wish list, you will find that it doesn't say that you own it, but that they no longer sell it. What you're adding back is the larger collection.

It's not an error, in other words, but it is rather confusing that they use the same grey colour to convey three different messages:

You own this.
You're not allowed to buy this.
This is no longer sold.

fgh is correct. There are a number of different reasons that a resource you could buy in the past may not be purchasable.

Updates to editions, our rights to distribute, and any number of other reasons can also weigh in to this.

Often, if a wish list item has "gone grey" on you, it's likely worth a quick search of the title on the site to see if there is an updated version of the same resource. Clicking through to the product page also gives you the ability to see if that resource is available as part of a larger collection, which can often be the case as well.
