OpenOffice Impress support

Hi,
The Biblical People, Biblical Places, and Biblical Things feature is pretty nice. It would be nicer if we had the choice to dump the output to OpenOffice Impress rather than or in addition to PowerPoint.
Please consider this for Logos 4.
Thank you,
Mike

Has anyone here used Powerpoint for this purpose? I'm asking because I have not kept up with MS Office and I'm dragging my feet on dropping loot for it - especially if the Powerpoint feature has bugs.
Thank you,
Mike

Mike,
Don't waste your money.
You are better off (in Powerpoint or any other program) either using copy/paste or using the "save as" option. I use save as because an imported image can be more flexibly modified in powerpoint than a pasted image.
The way it functions is to insert the image at the end of the presentation on a blank slide.... It's just as quick to use one of the two other options as to shift the slide and reformat it.

Added note: the Beta of Office 12010 is excellent and free. I'm guessing we'll have 6 months use of it is they are planning to roll out Office 2010 in June or July.

Thanks for the cut/paste info. I had some sort of fixation on that Powerpoint menu item. There is something about commercial software having direct references to other commercial software that peeves me off. Like Logos is getting some sort of Powerpoint subsidy or something for having that menu item at all. Cut and Paste is it then.
Oh and thanks for the tip on the new Office beta. I'm sort of waiting until you can buy the current version and get a free upgrade from MS on the new one - they usually pull that marketing tactic right close to when a new product comes out. In the meantime I'll try the beta. Hey, isn't is ALL beta when you come right down to it?

I too have been frustrated in not being able to redirect the "Send to Power Point" to have it sent to Open Office Impress. I have used the cut and paste method, but would welcome an option to be able to select what program the item is sent to. I also use WordPerfect x3 and that has a presentation program . Impress is my main presentation program. Any help would be appreciated.
