Your metadata changes are stored separately from any Logos metadata changes,and always take precedence. I don't know if your changes survive hiding/unhiding a resource (I've never checked) but they should survive everything else.

I know that tags survive returning a resource and getting it back through a package months later, so if other metadata changes are stored in the same place, they should survive too (returning being more radical than just hiding).
